Flodden Wall

In the 16th Century the citizens of Edinburgh authorised the building an extensive wall to protect the city after the disaterous defeat at the OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABattle of Flodden. Know as the Flodden Wall little now exists but at Forrest Road just along from the Greyfriars Bobby statue you can find the site marking the last remaining section.

A section of wall is just visible from Lauriston Place,  in the grounds of George Heriots School on the righthand side.
